Christmas 2010

I had a great Christmas this year. Finally get to experience the meaning behind this celebration and be able to thoroughly appreciate it. Plus, Deb and Andrew's surprise visit here added more colours to it. I received a beautiful pendant that was chosen together with Alvin. It has the design of two intertwined hearts. At the tip it extends out and looks like a charming feather wing like tail. To add a sparkle, there's a Diamond on it. The sales girl showed us this after I told her of our small budget. She took it out from the window display and told us that that's really suitable for petite frame like me. Tried it on and it looked great. She totally convinced me and Alvin it's worth and the unique design. It's the first show we visited at Bugis so we decided to check out other stores before deciding. She gracefully kept the item and was confident that we will come back around after comparing with competitors. Really have to applaud her for her gracefulness. If not for her good customer service, good attitude and great product, Both of us would not have such a good experience. He's not that patient especially when it comes to shopping or shopping with me. So I try to not be fickle and be as objective as possible. Indeed, we went round and either they were too expensive or there was no design that stands out as much. Glad to purchase that pendant! Wanted to wear it to work and match my dresses without burning a hold in his pocket. :) hee. At this stage of uncertainty, I feel much more treasured and stabilized with his good gesture. Because I have not gotten any solid presents at all these past years. They were mostly haphazard and not that thoughtful. Hee. and we went to have dinner at Kepple marina at TCC! Didn want to crowd at Orchard but still want to have a ok meal. We chatted and strolled around the bay after the meal. So that was awesome!! So excited when he suggested to go there for dinner :))) he's definitely listening and trying now. Last year our gift exchange was terrible so this year I made a point to buy a good one. Heh. Bought a book he wanted but thought he might not want it as a Christmas present so bought another item for him as back up. Turned out that he loved both! Awesome!! Glad things turned out well... We put in effort and make things work. We'll see how we do in the next few months as they are just as crucial. I have quit my job and I'm planning to travel and explore on my own for 2-3 months. He is quitting his job in Feb and get another good job. I have set a time when I have to decide where this could lead. That was set as I could not take the treatment I had. We have really different personalities and perspectives so we don't see eye to eye most of the time. We talked at lengths about it and he understood more about what I want in life, my concerns about him, why we acted in certain ways and said certain things. A 'AA' showdown in the car. Haha. We may be different but there can be some common ground. So this is his chance to change for the better and for me to think hard. We'll see where this leads to. Prayed about it already and I'll let him do his miracles. Love Anna
