Jobs as our alter identity

I prided myself on my personal achievements through the years, and held on to my job titles and designations like they were trophies. Therefore, when they were taken away, I felt a sense of loss.

shopping for more make up (UD, Stila, Clinique)

seemed like there is this constant search for the perfect eyeliner and the perfect lip shade, more like finding my own reason to buy things again... :p

testing away at Sephora.

Tested supposed Waterproof eyeliners (from TOP) :
Sephora 24 hr water proof
Sephora
eyekol
urban decay for waterline
urban decay regular

Let's see the results.

Tried the Stila Eyelner pencil on my eyes and the mascara, let's see how it goes tonight.
Smudge stick at $36 at Sephora.

Clinique Mascara for $36.

Tried a few other colours that suit my skincolor and preference.

Clinique creamy lip $36. no. 19 is really intense red. Glam.

Plushiest Punch $26 is intense pink shade. Glam.

Nude Stick - Sin is pinkish slightly less glam lip. $34 I think. but the smell and taste is like crayon... No go.

After using up my mascara, I'll get the Clinique Smudgeproof again.

Can consider the Stila Smudgestick if it goes well.

Tried the one after blush Color lippie for a nude look.
Looks like this on me.

My left is Stilla pencil eyeliner and mascara.

My right is Clinique's.

SG50 celebration in 2015

Because of the deep introspection and reflection that we were plunged into, and that shared sense of grief, it added a certain profundity to the celebrations. It added a lot more depth to the celebrations,” said Mr Heng. “So it was no longer just a rah-rah celebration, but I think it also got us to think very hard about what matters to us as Singaporeans, and how by coming together, we can beat the odds, do the impossible, and we can stay cohesive as a people."

Said Mr Heng: "It was for me, a very intense feeling, looking at that empty seat, wishing that Mr Lee was there to celebrate with us. And when I sat through the NDP, my mind was filled with images of Mr Lee speaking to Singaporeans in the early years - how he mobilised our people, how we forged a multi-racial, multi-religious society out of ex colonial subjects, immigrants, and I must say for me it was a very profound moment."

He added that Mr Lee's death also united Singaporeans and brought out the best in them, pointing to the many examples of how they took care of one another while waiting in line to pay their final respects to Mr Lee.

Snippets of MM Lee Kuan Yew

JDr Mahathir described Mr Lee's passing as marking "the end of the period when those who fought for independence lead their countries and knew the value of independence".

"Our family tongues and broad access to Malay as a regional lingua franca: gone. Much of our heritage and cultural life: sacrificed. The siblings that might have been, curtailed by hard anti-natal policies that were later lifted to no avail. Compulsory military conscription. Censorship. The list goes on," he wrote, adding: "To be able to discuss these soberly, from different informed, constructive perspectives: that IS democracy, IS civilisation, and furthermore, does honour to his memory." - See more at: http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/more-singapore-stories/story/playwright-alfian-saat-questions-lky-legacy-20150327#xtor=CS1-10%20http://

Passing of LKY 23 Mar 2015

Lee Kuan YewGCMGCH (born Harry Lee Kuan Yew, 16 September 1923 – 23 March 2015) was a Singaporean politician. He was the first Prime Minister of Singapore, governing for three decades. His emphasis on rapid economic growth, support for business entrepreneurship, limitations on internal democracy, and close relationships with both the United States and China set the nation's policies for the next half-century. He is attributed to have brought Singapore from third-to-first-world status in a single generation, and is recognized as the founding father of modern Singapore.

Your hard work, your integrity, nations blessed, generations blessed. Blessed is our entire nation, our entire lives. Thank you for showing that, indeed, we can achieve.

Deepest condolence and heartfelt gratitude.
RIP
