God and Jesus lift you up.

Many a times people sin because they feel discouraged, feel that there is no purpose and does not get sufficient love. Not that the person is evil.

I am the true vine, and you are the branches.

Vines on the ground cannot bear fruit. Put the vines onto the trellis. Only vines that are hanging can bear fruit.

Not wallow in the dust. Dust is guilt and condemnation.

We have to honor pastors, man and women, highly for their worksake not as godlike.

10 black eyeliners review -makeup

Was out shopping and lots of makeup was on sale. I ended up buying items and 1 more brown eyeliner. Almost wanted to buy a black one but I recalled having a few other black liners. Somehow I could not recall exactly what liner I have. It is like blank. Oddly my brain is convincing myself to buy another eyeliner because there is a 20% sale. Oh well.

Happily came home only to find that I have 10 black eyeliners from all brands in all forms. 9 coloured eyeliners... Amazing my makeup journey and search has been.
I know how to properly test them before making my purchase.
Rub them with oil from face, some water and just your finger. I know it sounds gross but is rather give it a proper test than regretting later on.

1. Korres eyeliner pencil $22~after discount
Totally did not last both smudge test and water test. Maybe good for smudging and doing smokey eye look. 100% natural base with herbs and vitamins so I guess I have to learn to appreciate its natural ingredients.
Water : 0/3
Oil :1/3
Smudge: 0/3

2. Urban Decay Glide on Eye pencil $25
It did not move much after these tests. Awesome!
Water: 3/3
Oil: 2/3
Smudge: 3/3

3. FACE it All about eyeliner (Korea) $17~
One of my favorite liquid eyeliner after numerous tests. The most it will flake off and do not smudge.
Water: 3/3
Oil: 3/3
Smudge: 3/3

4. Yibi liquid eyeliner (Korea) $15~
Fave too!! It may be a bit stiff if I apply too many layers.
Water: 3/3
Oil: 3/3
Smudge: 3/3

5. Shisheido Eyeliner pencil crayon $30~ (Japan)
Not sure why I got this. Probably wanted to try a good brand but this kinda disappoints. I hardly use this due to its unreliability. Good for smudging...
Water: 1/3
Oil: 1/3
Smudge: 0/3

6. Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner $14~
Liquid is not intense enough. Maybe cos mine is bit old.
Water: 0/3
Oil: 2/3
Smudge: 3/3

7. INuovi Fluidliner waterproof (Germany) $20
Not too sure about this.
Water: 1/3
Oil: 2/3
Smudge: 2/3

8. Mabelline Gel Liner ($20~)
Stays put pretty well. Quite like using this other than that I have to use a separate brush to apply.
Water: 2/3
Oil: 3/3
Smudge: 3/3

9. Bourjois Paris Sparkling Eyeliner
Only fun thing is that it sparkles. Other than that I have to pray that it stays...
Water: 1/3
Oil: 1/3
Smudge: 1/3

10. MAC Technakohl liner eyeliner kajal
(62RM)
Bought this from Johor Malaysia from a Mac store. I kinda doubt it's quality and authenticity... Does not work well enough for me.
Water: 2/3
Oil: 2/3
Smudge: 2/3

Prices all in SGD.

Review of my colour eyeliners coming up next time.

Learning in 21st Century

Learning is not just committing facts to memory but the ability to critique, synthesise, analyse, use and apply information.

http://m.todayonline.com/commentary/learning-21st-century

The first step — “knows” — is knowledge about a subject, such as recalling facts. The second is to “know how” to use the knowledge, such as in analysing a problem. The third step is to demonstrate proficiency in applying the knowledge — “shows how”. In medicine, for example, this is assessed by observed examination of patients or actor-patients.

The fourth step is to see how the knowledge is integrated into the real world. This requires assessing competence when a person is working and, in the case of physicians, is part of the ongoing assessment after they enter practice. The final step, “mastery”, refers to the competence of an expert who teaches the next generation.

The field of medicine is fortunate in that the bedside clinical experience — where students talk to and examine the patient and relate what they find to lessons or go back to their resources to fill in the gaps in their knowledge about the condition — assists in the long-term retention and better conceptualisation of knowledge.
